Scuba Refresher
with Hydronauts

If you have not been diving in 12 or more months, have forgotten a few diving practices, or just need a reminder on how to properly set up your equipment, we suggest it is time for a Scuba Refresher.
One of our Instructors or Divemasters will do a short workshop to refamiliarize the scuba academic principles with you before reviewing the equipment setup. You will then spend some time in our purpose-built training pool putting those principles into practice.
Here at Hydronauts, we tailor your Scuba Refresher to what you do and don’t remember while confirming your safety protocols are well practiced. Our Refresher takes about 2-3 hours and is best completed the day you arrive on the island or the day before you’d like to go diving on the boat trips with us.
We encourage everyone to dive as safely as possible and look forward to doing some fun dives with you after you complete the Scuba Refresher.

Requirements
Must be a certified Scuba Diver or Open Water diver to do a Scuba Refresher.
If you’re not sure you meet these prerequisites or if you need to complete a prerequisite course, please reach out to us.

Step 1

Theory & Workshops
On arrival, you will meet your instructor who will review a few academic principles with you before sizing you up for equipment and reviewing equipment set up.
Step 2 - Pool Training
You will then spend a few hours in our training pool reviewing your knowledge of safety protocols, skills, and buoyancy practices.
Step 3 - Book Your Fun Diving Package
Now it’s time to put what you have learned with your instructor in the pool into practice on some open water dives. Pick up one of our fun diving packages when you complete a Scuba Refresher with us.
EXTRA INFORMATION
Flying after your dives? Be sure to give yourself an 18-hour window after your final dive.
Need a place to stay? We are a beachfront diving resort! We offer rooms from mixed dorms, double bedrooms, family rooms, and bungalows for weekly or monthly rent! You can book a room here!
Please keep hydrated. Remember to drink plenty of water before and after your dives.
Bring sunscreen (preferably reef safe) and apply it an hour before entering the sea to protect marine life.
