Scuba diving in Koh Tao is unique from other places in the world because of the island’s close proximity to 25+ varied dive sites. Almost every dive site on Koh Tao is within a 10-45 minute boat ride with the infrastructure to support the number of divers who come to Koh Tao to go diving. The island is surrounded by tropical coral reefs and is home to countless species of marine life.
When scuba diving in Koh Tao, you’ll discover coral gardens, shipwrecks, underwater pinnacles, coral walls and artificial conservation reefs. The Gulf of Thailand is known for its consistently calm and clear waters, and incredible sunsets, which offer ideal conditions for a relaxed and scenic experience.
Our dive guides at Hydronauts are highly-trained, local area experts that have spent years scuba diving the sites around Koh Tao. We ensure that your guide is not only guiding your dives safely but that they take the extra time to improve your skills as a diver and share what they know about the local ecosystem – above and below the water.
We tailor your dives to your certification and comfort levels and always guarantee small groups of no more than 4 divers to a dive guide.

Fun dives are 1,000 THB per dive and the boat goes out for 2 dives each trip.
Discounts can be discussed on an individual diver basis. So if you bring all your own equipment or are already a professional diver, be sure to have a word with our management and we will see what we can do for you.

Boat Schedule
Morning boat
06:15 meet up, 06:45 departure right from the beach.
We typically schedule our deeper and more advanced dive sites in the morning. We return before 12:00.
Afternoon boat
11:45 meet up, 12:15 departure right from the beach.
Afternoon dive sites are generally shallower sites closer to the island. We return around 17:00.
Requirements
Must be a certified diver with an internationally recognized agency.
Must be medically fit to dive.
Haven’t dived in a while? No worries! Book a Scuba Refresher and fun dive with one of our Divemasters!

EXTRA INFORMATION
Flying after your dives? Be sure to give yourself an 18-hour window after your final dive.
Need a place to stay? We are a beachfront diving resort! We offer rooms from mixed dorms, double bed rooms, family rooms, and bungalows for weekly or monthly rent! You can book a room here!
Please keep hydrated. Remember to drink plenty of water before and after your dives.
Bring sunscreen (preferably reef safe) and apply it an hour before entering the sea to protect marine life.
