The RAID Master Rescue Diver course will instill in you the ability and confidence to prevent and respond to diving related emergencies. The course focuses on risk management and incident prevention, rescue response and problem solving skills, dive planning and buoyancy control. It also trains divers how to respond effectively should accidents and incidents happen while diving.
Graduates of the rescue course will be able to minimize the need to rescue fellow divers or be rescued themselves.
This 3-day course is often cited by divers as the most fun course in their diving career while also giving them the most confidence in the water.
You must have a current certification as a Rescue Breathing/CPR and O2 provider from a recognized authority to begin the Master Rescue Course. We offer the RAID First Aid & O2 Administrator course; a globally recognized first aider course for 6,500 THB.
Master Rescue + First Aid & O2 Provider Combined Courses – 15,500 THB
Must have a minimum of 12 hours logged underwater.
Must be a certified Advanced or Explorer 30 diver.
Must have a current Rescue Breathing/CPR and oxygen provider certificate from a recognized authority unless you are taking First & O2 with Hydronauts as part of your course.
Begin your e-learning before you arrive
Your training starts online where you will access all your RAID training manuals and quizzes. Contact us to get started with your e-learning!
Step 2 - Theory & Workshops
On arrival, you’ll meet your instructor who will review your pre-completed e-learning with you.
Your instructor will conduct workshops on equipment, self-rescue, emergency procedures, physiology and safe diving practices to help you get the most out of your learning experience.
Step 3 - Pool
Your pool training will begin with simulations to improve your self-rescue skills in a safe environment. You will then be introduced to increasingly challenging scenarios involving problem solving, handling distressed and injured divers, and rescuing unconscious divers safely.
Step 4 - Open Water Dives
The Master Rescue course consists of 4 open water dives conducted over 2 days. The dives will repeat much of what has been learned in the pool training as well as introduce you to open water search patterns. On the last 2 dives of the course, we will bring in a few professional divers in training to act as role-playing assistants. The dives will consist of running scenarios involving divers having equipment problems, missing and injured divers, and unconscious divers needing your help.
